Dance Plattsburgh's Weather / Cancellation Policy

Dance Plattsburgh events are not cancelled due to weather.

This includes Second Saturday Monthly Dances and Every Monday Dances.

Events are cancelled only if there is a "Travel Ban" in effect in the City of Plattsburgh. A travel ban is in effect when only emergency vehicles are allowed on the roads.

If an event must be cancelled because of a travel ban in the City of Plattsburgh:

• We will post a notice of the cancellation on the home page of our www.DancePlattsburgh.org web site as soon as we know the event must be cancelled.
• We will email a notice of the cancellation to our email list.

Attendees and Volunteers:
Please use your own best judgment in determining if it is safe to travel to our events in inclement weather. This is a decision for attendees and volunteers to make, not for the event organizers. Volunteers need not attend if they do not feel that travel conditions are safe.

Clean, dry, non-marking shoes are required at dances. Dirty, wet or salty shoes are not allowed on dance floors. Shoes that leave marks are not allowed on dance floors. In inclement weather, please bring clean, dry shoes to change into, or wear socks you can dance in.
